The only thing lacking to the blind people of Latvia is – opportunity. If only we really can see then we can find the way to make our world more accessible to people who cannot see. We can open our eyes to their everyday living and find a way to make the life of blind people easier.
Assistance project for blind people of Latvia is like a window to the outer world through which to enlarge their perspective and ease the access to information.
One of the main goals of this project is creation of audio-journal so as to make the information and cultural heritage accessible to the blind in co-operation with largest media of Latvia.
However, before we open the window to the outer world to the blind people, we have to open our own eyes to see their life and the need for support, as well as to see the way for best assistance. Together with the project’s initiators and supporters, with your help a window shall be open to 7000 people for a whole year – an audio journal shall be recorded and distributed.
